A Look At The Baby Gift Registry- How Gift Giving Has Changed Over The Years
If you are going to be having a baby in the near future, you may want to think about creating a baby gift registry. Whether you are having or adopting the baby, this can be a fantastic way for any parent-to-be to let their friends and family know which items are most needed and wanted before the baby arrives in your home.
Creating a gift registry is not difficult but there are a few things that you need to remember. This includes adding items in a variety of price ranges, picking stores which are easily accessible by guests from different cities or countries and making sure that there is something which everyone can feel comfortable giving. Whether it is a Perego stroller or new crib as a big ticket item or a collection of smaller items that are more affordable, a good gift registry can allow your guests to know that what they spend their money on will be used and loved on a regular basis. Since not all guests are able to afford to spend the same amount, here are a few ideas for gifts at different price points.
If you want to include a quality baby safety device with a price that is more mid-range, consider a Philips baby monitor or other baby monitoring device. These can be fantastic if you are at all concerned about being able to listen or look in on your baby from other areas of your home. There are a wide range of different monitors you can choose from and some of these are more expensive than others. A good monitor with features that you will use can be incredibly valuable especially for nervous first time parents.
You may want to think about lower priced items. Of these, portable baby bath tubs can be very useful and affordable. Of, if you want to add other water items, consider bath toys, luxurious baby bath towels or washcloths made out of bamboo. You may find that guests may bundle some of these items together as a gift basket and can be a wonderful idea for gift givers to choose.
In fact, it is not uncommon for guests to pick one or more items that belong to the same theme. This could mean that you may get groupings of swaddling blankets, one piece sleepers, washcloths, towels and other linens. If you have asked for crib linens that are a certain pattern, you may want to ask for others that may be plain but in a coordinating color. This can make it easier for you to match when your patterned crib linens get dirty. It also makes it possible for them to be included as part of a gift basket.
Take the standard diaper pail which many parents register for. This is an incredibly useful piece of equipment. You can always look at purchasing the diaper containment device and using it as a container for sleepers, onesies and other cloth items that the parents have registered for. Using items such as a baby bath tub and filling it with bath items like washcloths and towels can be a great way for you to make a memorable and visually stunning gift basket.
As you can see, a baby gift registry may make gift giving and receiving much easier than you might expect. Taking the time to plan what you will choose according to a few key guidelines will ensure that you are well set up when it is time for your bundle of joy to come home.

Frequently Asked Questions...
Anyone use Fisher Price diapers?
I just bought a bag of the fisher price happy days diapers ( they also come in a box size 3 and up that have both day and night diapers)
They are new, at least in this area so im wondering what people think.
Answer:
I bought a pack in an emergency situation a while back and while they held good (no leaks of tee or poo) I found them to be awful bulky and my baby just looked uncomfortable in them, so I used the pack up so as not to be wasteful and then went back to my regular brand (Pampers.....the ultrathin, baby dry max ones).
