The Ultimate Diaper Review

One of the biggest issues for parents with babies is diapers. This is only natural because babies get changed many times a day and even through the night. That means that you are seeing diapers and experiencing them constantly through-out your day! With so many interactions with diapers to speak of, it is only reasonable that you would want cost-effective diapers merged with quality if there is such a thing! Some diapers have been reviewed so that you can be better informed when making diaper buying decisions`.

Pampers Swaddlers for newborns is a great product for quality. They come in three sizes and can reach up to 18lbs. Many parents love the Grow with me, stretchy sides and soft overlapping taps. There is also extra padding in the back area. The only downside is these diapers are a bit more money.

Pampers Cruisers can offer babies the best in leakage prevention. Many parents love the fastener quality and the leakage control that these diapers provide. They are designed for active older babies who will be putting lots of strain on all the materials in the diapers.

Bum Genius One-Size, is a quality product made from cloth. Parents love the idea of cloth diapers; because you just have a company come and clean them for you, so you are never running to the store to buy plastic diapers. They are cost effective and only require a little bit of maintenance. They come with Velcro taps and have extra absorbent inserts. The only downside is the odor control, when a baby is wet or dry everyone around will be able to smell it.

Earth`s Best Tender care, is a great alternative to anyone who doesn`t want harsh chemicals around their babies skin. Commercial diapers are made with questionable materials and chemicals, and while diaper companies claim that they are all safe, many parents like the idea of having a choice over the matter. These diapers are not treated with chlorine bleach and are made from some renewable materials. They are however, more expensive and hard to find in stores.

Huggies Overnites, offer parents the peace of mind of diaper and leak control during the night. The truth is, many babies wake up in the middle of the night with leaky diapers, wet sheets and just an overall feeling of being cold and wet. Some parents buy special diapers at night to help their little one sleep better and in turn allow everyone in the house to sleep better! These diapers are great but get very bulky when they are wet and are expensive.

P.C Diapers offer parents an affordable way to buy diapers. These diapers get a mix of good and bad reviews from parents and caregivers. Some people love the price and find nothing wrong with them. However other diaper changers find that these diapers need to be changed more often due to smell and bulkiness.

Some also find that the tabs break off when they are trying to put them on or take them off resulting in either wasted diapers or just a mess. So it is interesting to see if these diapers are saving money, because they have to be used more often during the day.

The best way to compare diapers is to simply buy a few different brands for yourself that way you can see what you and your baby like the best.

Frequently Asked Questions...

Which diaper pail is the best?

Well, my best friend's baby shower is soon & I was thinking about getting her a Diaper Genie but I heard alot of bad reviews about it. As I kept researching, every diaper pail brand I found had some bad reviews. Which one should I get her?

Answer:

We originally bought the Diaper Dekor when we first had our daughter. We liked that it was "hands-free" - it just had a lever at the bottom that you stepped on to open up the top lid, then you dropped the diaper and it went through a plastic door into the chamber. It also kept the diapers mostly sealed away, and you just pulled out the full diaper bag, cut it and retied the bottom for a new bag.

BUT it used special bagging that cost $20 a box (lasted about 3 months then), and once she was eating more solids, the smell just couldn't be contained, no matter what. Also, she started to open up the lid herself and put her hands down through the flaps - eww.

So we ended up buying a Diaper Champ to replace it. It was much better at keeping the smells in, she couldn't access the inside area, and it's still easy to operate. You just put the diaper in the top and flip the handle from one side to the other. It uses regular trash bags.

She's now a toddler and the poop just gets to be too stinky for any diaper pail at that age, so we throw the poopy diapers into a plastic grocery bag, tie it and throw it out in the garbage can in the garage. I doubt there are any diaper pails that will keep in the poop smell once a child gets past 18 months or so.

You're right, there will always be bad reviews about a given product. You basically just have to pick which one you think will work best for you. We did that and have had the Diaper Champ for 1 1/2 years and have been very happy with it.
